Overview: The San Diego STEM APP Innovator Challenge (SD-SAIC) is an annual event designed to inspire and empower middle and high school students to develop their skills in app development and innovation.

Event Details:

San Diego, CA – October 12, 2024 – The San Diego STEM APP Innovator Challenge (SAIC) successfully concluded its annual competition, receiving participation from over 100 students representing six countries and regions. The participants, all middle and high school students, developed innovative apps focused on key topics such as education, environmental protection, healthcare & wellness, and community support.2024 Hackathon-SAIC

The award ceremony took place at the beautiful Del Mar Hilton Hotel, coinciding with the 32nd CAST-USA Annual Conference’s education panel. SAIC, organized by the ESC Club—an affiliate of Amazing Grace Christian School—aims to inspire and empower students to harness their creativity and technical skills in app development.

“The mission of SAIC is to foster an innovative spirit, promote excellence in STEM education, and celebrate the inclusivity and diversity of our global community,” said Alex Tang, founder of the ESC Club. “By providing a platform where students from diverse backgrounds can collaborate and showcase their talents, we aim to nurture the next generation of innovators.”

In addition to recognizing the winners, the award ceremony featured speeches from university professors, AI industry experts, and distinguished educators and scholars. Their insights further highlighted the importance of fostering a strong foundation in STEM education to prepare the next generation of leaders and innovators.
