MIT App Inventor is an intuitive, visual programming environment that allows everyone – even children – to build fully functional apps for Android phones, iPhones, and Android/iOS tablets. Those new to MIT App Inventor can have a simple first app up and running in less than 30 minutes. And what’s more, our blocks-based tool facilitates the creation of complex, high-impact apps in significantly less time than traditional programming environments. The MIT App Inventor project seeks to democratize software development by empowering all people, especially young people, to move from technology consumption to technology creation.

Real-World Case Studies
To bridge classroom learning with real-world applications, the camp featured four case study sessions highlighting award-winning apps created by ESC Club competition teams. Each case study included a demo and analysis, showing students how coding can be used to solve community problems and inspire creative innovation.

Inspiring Future Innovators
ESC’s member design the class which is to empower students with cutting-edge AI and coding knowledge while lowering the entry barrier to STEM. By combining hands-on instruction with inspiring examples, the camp encouraged participants not only to learn how to code, but also to apply technology to real-life problem-solving in their communities.

Class Features
Multilingual Support:
The primary language of instruction is English. However, to ensure inclusivity and comprehension, each class is supplemented with slides and additional support in three languages: Spanish, Chinese, and French.

This multilingual approach helps break down language barriers, making coding accessible to a diverse group of students.

Live Tri-Language Teacher Assistants:
During each online session, live tri-lingual teacher assistants will be available to provide real-time support.

This ensures that students can receive immediate help and clarification in their preferred language, enhancing their learning experience and fostering a more inclusive environment.
